Gaming Primary Questions I would ask include: What was your first experience with gaming?  What do you think of the gaming industry nowadays? What is your favourite game from the previous generation? Do you feel like gaming is an important aspect of our society?    I will try to ask people outside of the interviews their thoughts on the questions in order to get a wider range on the subject.   Secondary http://www.inquiriesjournal.com/articles/1664/not-just-a-game-sport-and-society-in-the-united-states http://uk.ign.com/lists/top-100-games/ http://www.who.int/features/qa/gaming-disorder/en/ https://www.kickstarter.com/discover/categories/games?sort=most_funded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMq7NrgE8AA This documentary was strange but also different to many I've seen before. It is very upbeat, talking about why people laugh. I enjoyed the happiness surrounding the documentary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrIsmgVG594 This documentary stood out

Documentary Mini-Task

Documentary Mini-Task A documentary is a moving image production which usually explores a certain subject in a realistic setting, with a goal to entertain as well as educate. They are made so that a director or producer can make a point about a certain subject, usually one that they are passionate about or that they feel not many people are aware of. They can be shown in one of the following forms:  Expository documentary  Observational documentary Interactive documentary Reflexive documentary  Performative documentary The key features of an expository documentary include the fact that they speak directly to the viewer, using titles and voiceovers to argue their point of view. They are considered rhetorical due to the lack of open ended questions left after watching, rather just showing their point of view. America's most wanted is an example of this style.  An observational documentary tend to observe what is going on, allowing the viewer to make their own decision

An Introduction to the News

An Introduction to the News  In the broadcast I watched from the 11th of July 2018, the stories were covered in this order: Families fight for a new life saving drug to be made available, virtual reality is bringing orchestral music to a younger audience, and the weather was shown as the next story.  The broadcast begins with the iconic red and white of the BBC's Look East programme along with the music that is associated with the news in East Anglia. They use the bright colours to almost intrigue the audience, while not using too many vibrant colours such as blue or green along with the primary and secondary red and white in order to keep it sophisticated - just as a news programme should be. The audio is used due to it's loud, distinct sound which people who may have been in another room could hear in order to alert them that the news is starting, as well as people in the room also beginning to pay attention due to the alerting sound of the intro.  The male present

TV Advert Evaluation

TV Advert Evaluation The Brief The idea of the advert was to have a 1970's Gangster-esque style to the piece. We were thinking of having the pot noodle as the focus of a deal between the two characters - one being more of an intimidated protagonist and the other being an intimidating antagonist. We decided to use Pot Noodle because it is a consumable item in which could be traded. We decided it is easily portable and so it would be the best to store in a duffel bag during the advert.  We decided that the current audience would be males of around our age and up due to the darker setting which may be confusing to a younger audience, as the humor of the advert may not connect with them.  The Finished Product and Feedback The feedback was mainly positive, with the subtle humor being well received - although constructive criticism was also given. Some of the shots were said to be inconsistent with lighting as well as slightly grainy. Despite this, the overall camera work an

3MW Proposal

My idea for a documentary was one about the gaming industry – and the popularity and the industry can has. I plan to use some interviews, including  small clips to add to the context of what is happening. I will try to make these clips small because I want most of the presentation to be my own work instead of someone else’s. I would say the genre of my documentary would edge towards the educational however infotainment side of the genre, just due to the fact that although I will try to explain what I have learned throughout, gaming is more of a widely interesting topic to the correct audience, rather than something that will teach the viewer a more academic subject. My primary audience would be 14-18 year olds who are already into gaming and want to learn more about the industry they’re already so invested in. The reason the audience would be of this age is because it’s the age the majority of people with an interest in the subject are, as well as an age not too young to unde
