The Pre-Production Process Pre-Production is one of the 3 main parts of a production, (Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production) and is the planning section of the process. When used in a moving image production, the type of moving image production, source of finance, requirements, time and the legal side of the motion picture are all taken into account. This stage begins once the project in question has been ‘greenlit’. Type of Production Our production was a short independent film for a college project which we distributed on YouTube. Two of the most well-known types of production include Hollywood and Independent movies. Hollywood movies are more publicised due to the high budget – meaning it is easier for advertisements to be strategically placed throughout media in order to attract attention of possible consumers. This induction task required us to create a short film about a package changing hands, including continuity and a variety of camera shots as the main focus. This task was relatively easy - due to each of us having experience in either editing, camera work or scripting. Although most shots such as close ups, medium shots, and long shots were used throughout, one shot that could have been used was an establishing shot, as the scene was not set as well as it could have been, instead going straight to the characters involved. The scene where the gun was placed on the table could have been redone, as it looked cheap and unprofessional when put into editing. Apart from this, POV shots, pan shots, and other more 'complex' shots were used well and put together well in editing, making the entire film seem smooth and have a more professional feel. 

Film and TV  The Dark Knight Film Review Although DC films - and any superhero films in general - are usually brushed aside as a waste of space, Christopher Nolan really has created a blockbuster in 'the Dark Knight'.  The film is the 2nd in a trilogy of great films, racking up 8 Academy Awards, and with the late Heath Ledger going on to win countless awards for his role of 'best supporting actor' and Bale's stony, darker twist on the caped crusader, the film is critically acclaimed to be one of the best superhero movies - if not the best - to be shown in theatres. The film follows Bruce Wayne/Batman, (Christian Bale) district attorney Harvey Dent, (Aaron Eckhart) and James Gordon (Gary Oldham) as they set out to wipe Gotham of crime for good, only to be caught up in a war across the city against a criminal mastermind known simply as 'the Joker'.
